Mr. Jagdish Sonthalia started the RG Sonthalia Group in 1979 under the guidance of his father Late Shri Ramgopal Sonthalia. In 1979, he started with a trading firm of Tulsyan group of companies namely M/s. Tulsyan Udyog. His sincere hard work and dedicated honest policy created a name for himself and carved out a place for the company in the Hyderabad steel market. In 1985, Pawan Kumar Sonthalia joined the group and added a new company to the group’s profile M/s. Beekay Steel Associates to cater to the industrial customers. In 1988, Bijay Kumar Sonthalia gave strength to the group. In 1990, Ajay Kumar Sonthalia, after completing his Chartered Accountancy course, joined the group to give a complete new dimension to the group activity. The group forayed into manufacturing sector by manufacturing hand pumps and fan components. In 2005, Ravi Sonthalia, an MBA graduate joined the group, making the group activity more vibrant. In 2008, the group started a state of the art steel service centre facility M/s. Flamingo Exports Pvt. Ltd., with CTL lines for HR coils & straightening & cutting of TMT Rebar coils. In 2009, Abhishek Sonthalia, an MBA graduate, entered & helped in further strengthening the group activity and for looking into new opportunities.
